What is Paid Social Media?

There are a couple of different options for paid social media. The first is if you have an organic post that is doing very well, you can "boost" that on Facebook which would simply push that post to more of your followers or people that have similar interests.

The second one is to create an ad specifically for the purpose of bringing in more people to like or follow your page, come to your website, or purchase your product or service.

The specific ads generally cost more than boosting a post, but you do get much better reach and return than boosting alone, especially if you have a solid sales funnel.

Every time you are on your preferred social media account and you see a post for a business you follow that has a little "sponsored" tag under their name, that is a paid social media ad.

Strategy

Every business is unique and so each strategy will be unique. If you currently do not have a marketing strategy in place we can create one that works best for your business.

Graphic & Content Creation

Provide pictures of your products and I can create the rest! I use Canva to create really fun and on brand graphics for social media. I will also create a content calendar with scheduled posts in advance for approval.

Audience Creation

Knowing your target audience is KEY when creating paid ads. Coming up with lookalike or custom audiences is what will put your paid ad in the right spot for your target audience to see.

A/B Testing

When scrolling through social media what types of ads catch your eye? Each person is different which is why I will do A/B testing to see which ad performs better than the other to help create more dynamic ads in the future.

Budget

Creating a daily budget for your ads is going to be a huge step in how many people will see your ads. Money talks and the more money you spend daily on your ads, the more people will see them. That doesn't mean you have to spend thousands though.

Monthly Analytics

Each month you will get a breakdown of how your social platforms are performing by different metrics. This will allow us to see if what is being posted is working or not, and if not, will allow me to pivot and try something different.

Why Should I Do Paid Marketing?

When thinking about incorporating paid social media into your marketing there are generally several questions that come to mind.

One of the main questions that I get is how much money do I have to spend on paid ads? And the answer is a little tricky, because it really depends on the outcome you want.

If you are doing a simple ad to promote your social pages to bring in more followers the amount you would need to spend is going to be less than if you wanted the outcome to be a sale.

You also need to keep in mind that Holidays effect the cost of paid ads as well. Black Friday and Christmas are the most expensive times to run ads because EVERYONE is running them. If you are just starting running paid ads, I do not recommend starting in Q4.

While paid ads work faster to get to your end goal, it still can take some time. First you will need to do some testing to see what type of ads resonate with your target audience. Once you have about 6 weeks of solid data then you can really start to push out those highly targeted ads to convert those potential clients into paying customers.

Paid Social Media Services

Facebook

With over 2.91 Billion active users, Facebook is the biggest social media platform. Because it is so huge, you generally will need to pay more to get seen and to cut through the crowd. But a majority of businesses find the best ROI with Facebook.

Instagram

Instagram is the second largest social platform. Because they are owned by Facebook you can cross promote your Facebook ads and the ad spend on Instagram. This makes it super easy to reach a wider audience. And their algorithm is so advanced that it will automatically push your ad and the money on the platform it is performing best.

Pinterest

Because Pinterest doesn't have as many active users, your content won't get lost in all the other noise. Pinterest was voted one of the best social media tools to use a lower ad spend while still getting great results by other businesses.

TikTok

TikTok is one of the fastest rising social media platforms, but it is still small enough that you can really create a great space for your business and generate a community. In 2021 they gained 45% more users than any other platform and are projected to continue to grow. This is the best platform to put your money into as they gain more users.
