Build & Design

Having a quality website is incredibly important in today's business expectations. It is no longer enough to just have the basics to compete, you must have a wealth of information that will help establish your authority and build trust with your customers. Not only does your website need to look good to your customers, but it also has to look good to search engines in order to be searchable.

Website Build

Finding a good platform to create your website is going to be key to being able to build and maintain your website.

The platform you choose depends on if you have a product or a service. Platforms like Shopify are an easy to use ecommerce solution to sell your products like a pro. While platforms like WordPress are great for services or blogs.

Building a website can make or break your business. This doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune on hiring a fancy web designer or having flashy effects. What your customers are looking for is an easy to navigate website where they can quickly find what they need when they need it.

The more pages your customers have to go through to find a product they are looking for, the higher chance you have of them leaving your website to go somewhere else.

Clean, concise, and easy to navigate coupled with a beautiful and functional design is what can make your website go from good to great.

Website Design

Yes, there is a difference between website build and website design. To build a website you need to have the key elements that make a website work. But the design is where you get to show your personality and have some fun.

This is when you bring in your brand like your colors, logo, images, and your tone or voice.

If you have already started posting on social media you will want to make sure you use similar design elements on your website in order to keep everything cohesive. And on the other hand, if you are doing your website first, how you present your website should carry over into your social media presence as well.

Keeping everything cohesive will eliminate confusion when your customers are transitioning from one point of your marketing to another.

Website Optimization

Optimization is what will make your website become searchable on search engines like Google.

Search engines, like Google, have their own standards of what your website must have in order for it to be searchable, like having a minimum number of words on a blog or webpage, keywords needed to tell Google what your page is about, and more.

If your website is not optimized properly Google cannot search your website to know if it is something it should put on their results. If Google cannot search your site the only traffic you will get is from what you bring in through social media, email, and additional marketing.

The goal of optimizing your website is to be higher up in the search rankings. Obviously the best place to be is on the first page, and even better in the number one position without having to spend any on advertising.

Optimizing your website however is considered the "long game" because it isn't something that happens overnight. Social media is how you can get attention to your website immediately, but to rank on Google it could take months or even years depending on what you are trying to rank for.
